About Nigerian Immigration Service
The Nigerian Immigration Service is a paramilitary outfit that was carved out of the Nigerian Police in August 1958 and it was initially known as Immigration Department. The core aim of the agency is to oversee migration in Nigeria. To ensure that it carries out its responsibilities well, the Nigerian Immigration Service is divided into eight(8) directorates and seven(7) units.
Nigerian Immigration Service(NIS) Recruitment Requirements
NIS would release a list of requirements and all applicants must possess all the requirements in order to be eligible to become officers in the Nigerian Immigration Service. The table below outlined the basic requirements that all applicants must possess before applying

|Professionals||Must be registered nurses|
|Inspector of immigration||An NCE/ND certificate|

|Immigration Assistant| General Duty||A minimum of four(4) credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE in not more than two sittings|
